With 20 years experience as a construction worker, Anthony Mantella decided to venture out on his own as a developer in 1946 with his own company Acme home builders. His roots in construction helped him turn a dream of having his own business into reality.
In 1954, Anthony was joined by his two sons, Frank and Paul to create A. Mantella and Sons Limited. Four years later 500 homes & 40 industrial buildings had been built. One of the largest privately owned family development companies had been born.
Today, some 60 years later, the legacy continues as the third and fourth generation continue to carry on the torch lit by Anthony and his sons. Mantella and Sons Ltd, an offshoot from the original firm, controlled by Frank Mantella’s heirs, manage a large portfolio of industrial & commercial properties. The desire to build, manage & develop properties still carries on four generations after Anthony Mantella built his first company.
Looking forward, Mantella & Sons Ltd. has positioned itself with substantial land holdings in both Etobicoke and Mississauga. Here we hope to grow and develop several new projects for future generations to carry on the tradition.
